This training programme consists of several modules

In our general module (A), you will:
- explore your expertise, values, and principles as a professional
- receive tips on how to invest your time rather than just spend it
- work on building a relevant network
- learn how to listen to relevant people, timelines, and topics
- choose a platform based on your communication goals and stakeholders .

In our in-depth modules (B & C) you will learn about how to have an impact on the platform of your choice.

Module A contains multiple courses: A.1-A.3.
You can make a selection of the desired modules and courses yourself, but we're also happy to help you discover what is best for you.

This training is designed for professionals; people who use online communication for the sake of their profession. As a researcher, scientist, science communication professional, expert, adviser, policymaker, etc., the choices you make should be fitting for both your profession and you as an individual. This will determine your style of online communication.

In this training, we help you make those decisions by providing tools and examples, but also by encouraging reflection and challenging you to think about your ambitions. It can be helpful to go through the general section together with someone you trust. This could be a colleague or even your partner at home.

Your online  communication strategy
Throughout the training, we ask you to complete tasks in a workbook. This is a document you will receive in course A.2, which you can save on your computer. This will become your personal online communication strategy by the end of the training.

Have fun!
Reaching out on platforms like LinkedIn or X (Twitter) will bring you new, surprising insights and opinions. Sometimes your findings will exceed your expectations, and other times they will fall short. Creating online impact involves a process of trial and error.

Becoming visible on platforms is social and, above all, fun – enjoy it!

This course, ‘Introduction to Online Communication’, is part of a larger training programme. In this programme, we cover multiple aspects of creating online impact.
